GULLWING
IN HEAVEN
Gullwing in Heaven
Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing 1955
Photographed by René Staud 2000 in the Staud Studios Leonberg
Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing soaring through the clouds is nothing more than a metaphor for those who have had the pleasure of driving it. Making full use of the 215 hp from the 3-liter inline six-cylinder engine gives the driver the feeling of “floating through the clouds”.
And so “Gullwing in Heaven” is symbolic of this feeling. In a very elaborate multiple exposure on large format slide 8 x 10 inches, this photocomposing was created as a work of art of mobility.
