Aston Martin DB5 1963
Photographed in the Staud Studios Leonberg, 2013
The DB5 was designed by the Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera and built by Aston Martin in Newport Pagnell, UK, from 1963 to 1965. The further development of the last series of the DB4 also bore the designation “DB” after the initials of David Brown, who built up the company from 1947. Known for its role in the James Bond films, it was first driven in the 1964 film Goldfinger. In 2013, the car appeared on a “British Auto Legends” stamp issued by the Royal Mail. This DB5 came to the studio as a convertible; no other car model would have suited such a wide-angle perspective.
