At some point, a Porsche book had to be produced that paid due tribute to all Porsche Le Mans winners. After a tough battle, a total of 19 vehicles completed the 24 Hours of Le Mans and usually ended up in a museum or collection after their great triumph. René Staud caught some of the vehicles on their way to the museum and photographed them. After three consecutive victories, it was almost a matter of course for the Stuttgart photographer to curate a Porsche book with all the winners. The Porsche 936 had been in the archive for a long time and is stillone of the greatest photographs that has been used time and again in Porsche publications.
